Damage policy
Your responsibilities when renting with On The Go Trailer Rentals
You're in control of the trailer from the moment you pick it up. Keep it in the condition you received it.
Punctures, blowouts, and curb strikes are your responsibility
Improper loading, hitting potholes, and running over debris all cause tire failure. You pay for replacements.
Bent ramps, cracked decking, and broken hinges happen when loading goes wrong
Overloading, dragging vehicles, and improper angle loading damage the frame and ramps. Repair costs fall to you.
Broken taillights, bent couplers, and damaged hitch receivers stop you cold
Backing up too far, hitting objects, and rough coupling cause these failures. You cover the cost to fix or replace.
Report accidents and damage right away
Call or email us the moment something goes wrong. Waiting makes it worse and costs more. We need to know before you return the trailer.
We check every trailer before and after your rental
Pre-rental inspection documents the trailer's condition when you pick it up. Post-rental inspection happens when you return it. Any new damage found becomes your responsibility.
Damage from misuse, negligence, or accidents is on you. Repair and replacement costs are your responsibility.
Blowouts and punctures from the road are your cost
Hitting potholes, curbs, or debris tears tires. Improper loading puts uneven pressure on sidewalls. You pay for new rubber.
Don't fix anything yourself without our approval first
Unauthorized repairs void your rental agreement and create liability issues. Call us before you touch a wrench. We'll tell you what to do.
Return the trailer clean and free of debris
Sweep out dirt, mud, and loose material before you bring it back. Excessive grime or trash left inside costs you a cleaning fee.
